- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- 10 Sichuan peppercorns
- 1 onion
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cumin seeds
- 2 tbsp red chili flakes or to your taste
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 5 sprigs cilantro
